On April 26, 2024, the New York Post ran an article with this headline about pro-Palestine student encampments that sprang up on college campuses, most notably at Columbia University:
"Soros and other elites are funding the campus agitators stoking anti-Israel, antisemitic protests."
The right-wing was thrilled. Blaming George Soros for anything the far left does is one of their favorite pastimes.
But here’s the thing: George Soros doesn’t fund the far left. He (and currently his son Alex Soros) backs progressives and Democrats. As we’ve covered, these groups are not the same as the far left.
